Spaghetti for all occassions!

Oh it's Christmas time! I could remember myself doing a rapid pace at the kitchen of Jollibee preparing the ever-delicious and favorite of the kids for their Christmas party- the spaghetti. But of course I would not be revealing Jollibee's spaghetti recipe here. However, I also have my own recipe as delicious as with the Joliibee's spaghetti Don't forget to have this for yoru Noche Buena and other Parties! Enjoy!

INGREDIENTS FOR SPAGHETTI:

  • 1 kg. spaghetti noodles

  • 1/2 kg. ground beef

  • 1/2 kg. ground pork

  • 1/4 kg. hotdogs, diagonally sliced

  • 1 kg. tomato sauce

  • 3 pieces laurel leaves (bay leaves)

  • 1/4 cup brown or white sugar

  • 2 green bell peppers, diced

  • 2 onions, chopped

  • 1 head garlic, minced

  • 3 tablespoons of cooking oil

  • 1 cup of water

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • 1/2 cup grated cheese

COOKING PROCEDURE:

  • Cook spaghetti noodles according to package instructions. Prior to the boiling of the water, add 1 tablespoon of cooking oil to the water. Remove the noodles and prepare one bucket full of ice. Mix the noodles and the ice cubes. This will prevent the noodles from getting soggy.

  • In a sauce pan or wok, sauté garlic and onions in cooking oil. Wait for the garlic to become brown before adding the ground beef.

  • Add ground beef, ground pork, laurel leaves, bell pepper and a cup of water. Bring to a boil and let simmer for 10 minutes. Make sure that the water already drained before doing the next instructions.

  • Add tomato sauce, salt and pepper to taste then let simmer for another 10 minutes

  • Add brown sugar( depending on you) and hotdogs. Continue to simmer for an additional 5 minutes. Add KFC Catsup to taste.

  • Serve with the cooked spaghetti noodles and grated cheese on top.

Enjoy with your family!
